River cruises

Pulteney Weir is one of the starting points for river cruises along the Avon. The Pulteney Princess, run by Avon Cruising (tel 07791 910650;: http://www.pulteneyprincess.co.uk), operates from april to October.

Ronnie O´Sullivan is bit like Bath; like Jane Austen who is the true star of Bath´s literary firmament but she was far from biggest fan of it, she often portrays Bath as a tiresome, petty city that is only good for gossip, parties and balls.

The spine of the city

The pump room. One of the social hubs of Bath since the Georgian era.

Bath Abbey

Like in about 800BC, Prince Bladud, son of king of Britain, was exiled when he contracted leprosy. The Legend of Bladud, the father of King Lear, who was immortalised by Shakespeare, is commemorated with a statue at King´s Bath, dating from 1699. A more modern statue of Bladud was placed in Parade Gardens in 2009 as a part of charity public art event celebrating Bath and its origins.

Mark King was immortalised by Ronnie O´Sullivan, Ronnie´s energy levels and so his sense of humour lol.

Bristol
Though not as postcard pretty as Bath, Bristol has a number of attractions that are worth of seeking out. A major British port of 300 years, second only to London, Bristol was - and still is to a lesser extent - the West Country´s window on the world and its main magnet for labour. Though Bristol was heavily bombed during the World War 2, the cathedral of Bristol escaped relatively lightly.

Beah
Popular restaurant offering a mix of Moroccan, English and Mediterranean food, such as lamb or chicken tagine, and sauteed horseradish potatoes.
