Alternative UK Championship format

Tournament is the same number of days – 13 – but all the matches are multiple sessions. I firmly believe that, while the flat 128 is great and should be used for every other tournament, the UK Championship, as a major, should be given special treatment, just like the World Championship. Is that so much to ask? 32 players: 16 seeds, 16 qualifiers. Keep the 128, by all means, for everything else. I'd prefer if it started on a Monday to allow for a two-day final, but this keeps within the 13-day limit and is a miles better format.

Day One (Tuesday):
10am: R1-1 (Session One) and R1-2 (Session One) – Best of 17
2.30pm: R1-3 (Session One) and R1-4 (Session One) – Best of 17
7pm: R1-1 (To a Finish) and R1-5 (Session One) – Best of 17

Day Two (Wednesday):
10am: R1-2 (To a Finish) and R1-3 (To a Finish) – Best of 17
2.30pm: R1-4 (To a Finish) and R1-6 (Session One) – Best of 17
7pm: R1-5 (To a Finish) and R1-7 (Session One) – Best of 17

Day Three (Thursday):
10am: R1-6 (To a Finish) and R1-8 (Session One) – Best of 17
2.30pm: R1-7 (To a Finish) and R1-9 (Session One) – Best of 17
7pm: R1-8 (To a Finish) and R1-10 (Session One) – Best of 17

Day Four (Friday):

I approve but the prize money should be increased so it's somewhat comparable on a ratio with the WC

WC = 71 frames, 2 weeks, £500k
Your format UK = 48 frames, 2 weeks, so... £300k, which is just less on a ratio

Speaking of, Tour Championship is best 8 players, 3 multi-session matches and 32 frames for £150k, that should be increased to £200k. It is far below on a ratio with the WC.
