If you don't qualify for Germany or the itv series then your next chance to play is Welsh Open on 11 Feb, then only the shoot out, Gibraltar and the China open before the world's at the end of the season. Could another ranking tournament be squeezed in maybe in
January to counteract this?

You could hold Riga in the spring. It would give players who haven't made the two big events the chance to pick up ranking points.
