Was Hendry the only player who looked at the pocket when cueing up?
Most players look at the cue ball and object ball from what I can see but Hendry often eyed the pocket as well.
Is this good technique?

If you watch him closely he actually looks from cue ball, object ball, and to pocket in a sequence on every shot. Unusual sighting, it obviously worked.

Never noticed that about Hendry.
I should watch some old footage, to have a look.
