Who's the best player out there who still hasn't won a major until today (World,UK or Masters)?
And in case of Stephen Lee never will.

Marco Fu has been close in all of them. UK finalist, Masters finalist, UK semi-finalist.

Talking of which. What was Stephen Lee's best finish at the UKs? He's a Masters finalist too.

Found it tough to decide which way to vote (between Stephen Lee & Marco Fu), but given Marco's recent form & the fact you mentioned above I have chosen him.
Lee got to a couple of Semi finals in the UK.

Reached the semis in 2001 and lost to Doherty. Quite strange though that he's never really come close of winning a major. He got absolutely trashed in that Masters final 2008. His best result in the World Championship has been the semis in 2003 when Williams beat him 17:8. Quite a poor record in the majors for a 5 time ranking event winner and for a good player like him.
Ability-wise he's a really good player imo. Havent seen too many players out there with Stephen Lees cue action and cue power.

This may be the pot calling the kettle black, but Stephen Lee's problem was his weight. He got hot and bothered after a few frames, just walking around the table in the hot lights. Can't have helped his stamina or his concentration.

Would love to see him prove you wrong, aged 50!

There do seem to be a lot of old codgers winning events now.

Well quite and he won't be tired of the circuit - would be fresh and hungry. What a story that would be if he came back and was successful.

Have you seen Tequila's video on him - he really didn't do his talent justice. His ability to enchant the cue ball was rare indeed.:
