Cracked Balls

Hi everyone.

I'm new here so a big HELLO to you all. :)


I was laying on the couch today enjoying watching the Welsh open. After seeing a couple of shots that were played extremely hard indeed I was thinking to myself and wondered if a ball has ever cracked in the history of the professional game. I did a quick search on Google but couldn't find anything other than lots of results advertising 'Cracks for PC snooker games. So I'm assuming that no balls have ever cracked in the professional game.

So... is that the case or does anyone know if a ball has ever cracked?
