Players having mobile phone with them during matches

I noticed at World Open that many players have mobile phones with them when playing match near water bottles. Why they need it? This is not good for concentration.

Are you serious? dreadful idea. I can't tell you the pleasure I have in switching off my phone and putting it away in my bag when I play snooker. Three hours of being incognito, and away from my most severe addiction - the internet and its myriad distractions. Help. I need help
