Then we agree then? Snooker would suffer. At least in todays snooker when star players and great characters are so few and vital to the game. I would think the buzz around this years crucible wouldn't be as high if Ronnie had decided to take the whole year off.

The more i think about this i like the new format as it means if a player has won a couple ofevents and is feeling jaded
If they are abit below power in their china open qualifier in england they may not have to make the trip to china
