Jojo, you're basically saying there are no other players on tour capable of attracting new fans and that's just silly. Trump ring a bell?

Ronnie Needs snooker just as much as Snooker needs him as sonny said he plays the role of hard done by very well but he craves the BUZZ of competing.

yes he will do some speach regarding going but Back he will come in serch of his next fix of Excitement when he pulls off a amazing pot or a Awsome Break.

Snooker doesent Need Ronnie Ronnie just thinks it does so hes playing the Blackmail Card in reverse if i was Barry id Tell him to buck Off Call his bluff and see him Back with his tail between his Legs.

Look at Randam the likes of Dom Dale and Anthony Hamilton attracted him to the Sport.

As much as I'd like to say snooker doesn't need the Rocket,at the moment it does in the UK. He's the only player who commands mainstream attention and gets people watching snooker who wouldn't normally. Yes in time O'Sullivan can be easily replaced with Trump, but Trump isn't there yet. And selling snooker to the UK audience without O'Sullivan is not going to be an easy sell.
However what the Rocket fails to realise is that Trump will get there one day, and take O'Sullivan's crown of People's Champion in the UK. Then Hearn will treat his constant late withdrawals from events rather differently.

Goddammit, I missed a "Wild" outburst! The mods should chuck all his rants into their own thread so that everyone can see what a hammer he is.

Speaking of hammers, Ronnie O'Sullivan.....snooker needs him? Get a grip, only a once a year snooker fan would seriously believe that. He is the most dislikable professional and displays nothing but complete disrespect for sponsors, broadcasters, his fellow pros and for snooker itself.

It's a shame though, cos if he could channel the skill, ability and undoubted brilliance into something positive for the sport, then he WOULD be considered an asset. But he chooses the opposite.....and projects an "I'm too cool for this sport" image, and a genuine word never leaves the guys mouth.

A more reasonable thing for Hearn to do would be to just ignore Ronnie altogether. I mean we've heard this from Ronnie a million times before so why did Barry feel need the to come out and acknowledge them?
