most snooker decitions is clear cut to the extend players call fouls on themselves you just dont get that in many other sports.
dont take this as a insult but anyone from the audience could take balls out for half the cash suerly referee should be about making tough decition as he sees it NOT as the rest of the world sees it.
There is a whole lot more to the role of a referee than just picking out the balls. Become a referee and you find out a lot more about the game - join up if its believed to be so simple.
IMO Eirian made a tough decision, he declared it was not a foul until Mark made a challenge to the decision. - That's a decision which as a referee I support and having viewed it another couple of times I still conclusively think that the call was correct.
Remember, Eirian had a much better view of the shot. I'm surprised how Mark could say definitively that Selby played a foul stroke - considering he was the one of the four involved with the most inhibited view yet hes the only one who categorically states he knows what happened. In addition, Mark Williams asked for a replay - which of course leads to the statement that he cant have been sure on what was the right decision.
Mark's outburst was extremely unporfessional at its best, and at worst personally could be seen to making an uncalled for and unproven
