World Snooker are pleased to announce SportStat as their their Official Data Partner.

The new technology delivered by SportStat will enable fans to follow all World Snooker events, including qualifiers, from anywhere in the world.

SportStat Managing Director Hugh Copping said: "We look forward to introducing an improved range of functionality over the forthcoming months, which will provide an ever growing audience with up to the second data, live from any World Snooker qualifying or main event."

With the significant expansion of the calendar, particularly the Players Tour Championship events, there has been growing demand for a reliable service providing live scoring, particularly for events with four or more tables in play.

“The timing couldn’t be better as there is so much more snooker being played. In fact we estimate that we will be covering at least 20,000 frames of snooker next year, which must be great for the fans,” said Andrew Palmer, Business Development Manager.

Based in South Wales, SportStat deliver live sports data to all media platforms specialising in Snooker, Rugby Union & Rugby League. SportStat are the official data partners to World Snooker, the International Rugby Board, Rugby World Cup and many leading Rugby League and Union clubs. As well as specialising in the supply of data, they design mobile applications and websites, produce media guides and can provide advice and support for event management.

Give it a minute, somebody will accuse Hazel Irvine of being a specialist, who focuses too much on the scoring monitor over everybody else. rofl

Acquiring and sharing data is vital to any successful enterprise.
Hopefully SportsStat can clean up the Dead Scoring mess and maybe even enable a LIVE STREAMING capabilty
that would give real meaning to the name "World Snooker".
While on the clean-up issue... as much as I detest the NoTW sleazy modus operandi they served their eye-opening purpose.
Now, where is Julian Assange when you really need him?
