More than half the season has passed. Crucible seems closer than ever.
Who do you guys feel has been player of the season so far ?
Is it:
a) Judd, who has won 4 ranking events, albeit minor ones
b) Ronnie, who has won 2 rankers and 2 invitationals, among them the 2 most important events after the Crucible, the Masters and UK
IMO it's Ronnie, due to the importance of the events he won.
As SF would put it, discuss

Where’s the option for a draw?
At the end of the day I guess it could be decided on the level either player reached. Ronnie hasn’t always looked great, occasionally doing just enough against weakened opponents. Judd has also cruised his way to a title here and there.
But this is the kind of style and artistry that sets the two apart. Rhythm, accuracy and simply brilliant to watch:

I know predicting The Crucible is a mugs game, but I can't see past Ronnie.
Winning the UK and The Masters this season, he'll be motivated by winning the three majors in a season and the whole 8-8-8 thing.
Ronnie isn't always up for the whole 17 days in Sheffield, but if he is, who beats him?

It's Ronnie for now due to the UK+Masters combo.

Plus Shanghai Masters, albeit not a ranking event the most prestigious one outside The Masters.
But Trump reaching 7 finals, winning 4 titles has also been very impressive.

How much emphasis do we put on the WGP final, where Judd couldn't quite kill it off against Ronnie?
