Came up with my team name this morning (been a week-long process
); now I’m assembling a squad. Might just end up picking names out of a hat to be honest, and see where it takes me.
Although then I would have to change the name to the Pot Luck XI, negating all the hard work I’ve been doing on the name.
Decisions, decisions…

Why would you have to do that? What’s the current name? “Chosen based on preference XI”?

Is that the name that he's spent several days coming up with?

I hope he spent another few days thinking, because an XI would leave him 6 players short.

PM does make it slightly more awkward, and it means the main thread doesn't get bumped as often. That will definitely bring numbers down, but I'm not complaining. 15 is already a healthy field and there will be a few more to come, but 39 last year (41 before the cull) was bucking hard work.

The XI would merely be an affectation, not a mathematical statement. I’m not stupid*

Despite having never tactically chosen my names based on others’ choices (I mean, clearly!) I did actually notice a difference in not being able to see who others had picked. But not in a way that made it more of an effort for me. I suspect everybody else will feel the same.
In terms of bumping, as long as you keep updating each with new team I don’t think there’ll be a huge difference.

Just a thought. What happens if someone picks one of the suspended Chinese players, or Mark King, and they end up being banned for a while and are not able to compete?

No, Andre is Think Pink's Jimmy White. He has been runner-up twice and is 2nd on the all-time list as well.

He resides in HK. So may be entering the AsPac version. Or maybe the WPBSA will grant him a new wildcard.

I picked Marco as my Wildcard too. Changed to him at the last minute when looking through the ranking list. May end up being a costly decision if he doesn't enter Asian Q-School or get given a Jimmy-card.
