I tallied the number of ranking finals that Ronnie/Higgins/Williams/Selby/Judd/Robertson played in every season from 1993/94 through 2021/22. Here are some observations:
1. The lowest number of ranking finals for these players was 3, in the 93/94 season.
2. The highest number was 21, in the 2020/21 season.
3. The average number was 8.8.
4. Ronnie has played in at least 1 ranking final for each of the past 23 seasons. Robertson's current streak is 14, and Judd's is 12. Suffice to say that these streaks are in serious jeopardy.
5. The number of ranking finals for these players in each of the last 6 seasons was:
2016/17: 16
2017/18: 16
2018/19: 17
2019/20: 14
2020/21: 21
2021/22: 16
Now consider that, so far in 2022/23, these players have combined to play in 2 ranking finals...

Nope. We might very well look back on this season as the beginning of the end for at least some of these great players...
