The top 50 by age
A few years back I did some graphics about the age of all the World Championship players. Since then there's been some people gaining birthdays.
Let's broaden the scope and have a look at the current ages of all the players currently ranked top 50 in the world, from youngest to oldest (age on the left, current ranking in brackets on the right) in ascending order.

So 25 players are over 35 while 25 are 35 and under, making 35.5 one version of average. So by this average Ding is still very much of average age and should have plenty of years left to get his World Championship. Selby is also relatively young still by this average.
the average age by totalling all the ages and dividing by 50 is 36, so by this method Ding is actually still below average age and Selby is even closer to the average age.
Luca Brecel is the youngest non-chinese player on the list at 27 and Jamie Clarke the youngest UK player and Sam Craigie the youngest Englishman, both at 28.
The scene is very much ripe for the plucking for any wannabe new Davis/Hendry style player who has the desire and talent to really dominate.
