I think this competition may best be filed in the Prediction section. Please could a mod move the thread?
All are welcome to join in a new game: Fantasy Snooker
If you take part, you will own a stable of 1-8 snooker players. Every ranking point won by players in your stable will be added to your score. Points will be awarded after the final of each ranking event is complete.
You start with 250 Snooker Island Dollars (SIDs) which you can spend on players. At any time during the season, you can buy players from the open market, or can buy players from other stables. A player may only belong to one stable.
You do not have to spend all your SIDs at the beginning.
You may not hold more than 8 players in your stable at any one time.
You can sell players back into the open market at any time, at their current value (between 8-100 SIDs based on current ranking).
Amateur players can be claimed from the open market for free at any time. They will be awarded fantasy points as if they were pros.
Post your purchases from the open market, or your deals with other stables in the thread here. I will reply to confirm that any deal is valid. If your purchase/deal is invalid for any reason, all things mentioned in the post will be invalid.
The open market of professional players will be listed in the next post. At the beginning it is first come, first served, so if you want Ronnie in your stable, you had better be quick.
Be sure to give your stable a name in your first post.
I will not be entering. I'll run the competition instead.

Correct, amateurs are free but can get points as if they were pros.

You could have a look at the Asia Q School 2 results on snooker.org A couple of them will become pros tomorrow.
There are also likely to be two new pros from the EBSA Championships currently underway.
Snaffling a soon-to-be pro for free would be a good bit of business.

I suppose anyone with less than 8 players should add amateurs.
I would like to add Daniel Wells if I may.
