If you are good at one sport you are usually good at multiple sports, especially if you reach Federer's level.
There are probably a number of transferable skills from tennis to snooker, eye hand coordination etc.
If Federer devoted himself full time to snooker, with his competitiveness and will to win he would probably be a very decent player!

But he was not good enough to be a top pro. Just as I think Federer would never be good enough to be a top snooker player no matter how hard he would try.

But he was not good enough to be a top pro. Just as I think Federer would never be good enough to be a top snooker player no matter how hard he would try.
I did say he may be a "very decent" player if he devoted enough time to it but that is obviously a long way short of being a top pro player. He is in his forties now anyway. I dont know if he's ever picked up a cue but i wouldnt be surprised if he very quickly was a decent standard.
