Against the likes of Trump,Robertson,Selby, an older class of 92 and all the rest. How would he cope with it?

I believe Robertson said Hendry was the scariest opponent he ever faced, now that could be because of Hendry's rep but let's assume for argument's sake otherwise, Hendry was past it when Robertson broke through so imagine him against a prime Hendry.

He would cope well, simple answer.
But he wouldn't dominate the game like in the 90s.

Good player mind
Robbo is superior to any version of Hendry

I wonder.
With Davis, being in the top 16 at 50 suggests his prime would be successful in any era.
Hendry doesn't really have that longevity, despite higher prime.

Hendry was absolute savage. He’d rip the heads off his opponent in any era.

He wouldn't rip anything.
He couldn't even do that at his best, in the late 90s-early 00s, let alone in this era.

I'm talking about peak form, not about greatness.
Robbo matches him in terms of potting, edges him in terms of long potting, has a better safety and tactical game.
Robbo is clearly superior.

Following on from the Davis thread: Hendry brought his A game a LOT more often than Robbo, which is exactly the point.

Hendry faced way weaker opposition in the early 90s

Even if that wasn’t bullocks, how does that affect him bringing his own A game?

It's way easier to play well against weak opposition, there's no pressure on.

Hendry's A game was: pot an insane long red in the heart of the pocket, get perfect position on the black, make a century. Next frame please.

So you’re saying Robbo isn’t mentally tough enough to deal with strong opposition. Got it.

Stupid cliche that is not real at all. He was missing plenty too, but his opposition wasn't punishing his mistakes on a consistent enough basis in the early 90s.

Robbo's faced way better opposition that Hendry did in the early 90s.
Robbo would totally dominate that era.

I think you meant Martin Gould. From 11-5 down he won that match.

Poor old Gouldy. He threw that away. I remember him coming into the hotel snake hissed as a fart at about 2am. He’d been out drowning his sorrows.

‘99 is a harder era than the early 90s, and look how Hendry managed.

Yes, late 90s was harder indeed than early 90s, but Hendry did not dominate the late 90s one bit.
He was losing way more than he was winning, against the class of 92, especially in big finals.
99 was the exception, not the norm.
