Barry Hearn on Talking Snooker

Postby NickMetcalfe

Hello fellow snooker fans,

We have just recorded one of our biggest episodes of Talking Snooker yet, with myself and Phil Haigh spending a fascinating hour in conversation with Barry Hearn.

As you can imagine, the World Snooker Tour chairman had plenty to say, including the revelation that he's aiming for a full Crucible for the latter stages of the World Championship. He also gave us his opinions on the forthcoming clash between Stephen Hendry and Jimmy White, the outspoken views of Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump and last week's Tour Championship. There was also plenty of nostalgia, including memories of Steve Davis winning his first world title forty years ago.

We'd love it if you gave us a listen. Past episodes include an appearance from Anthony Hamilton, a review of Jordan Brown's shock Welsh Open triumph and some of snooker's top writers joining us to address our correspondence.

Enjoy all the glories of Sheffield to come.

Nick

Looking forward to giving it a listen on my lunch break walk tomorrow.

Loved the episode with Hamilton the other week.
