I can't take the time off now, too long to make a decision.
Never mind. Maybe have a few days off for some other tournament in February or March.

I blame Bazza, for failing to give you adequate guidance

I've usually got to give like 4-6 weeks notice to book any time off work :(

I don't. I can book it a few days in advance at work. Just this particular time it'd be problematic.

You got Easter booked off? Or do you get the whole week off where you are?

I'll have Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday off but if I book that week off I will be using 4 days holiday rather then 5 if I were to book a different week off which doesn't fall on a bank holiday. I hope that makes sense lol
