A few pretty dreadful ones I saw from the 70’s...

“Irish Dennis” (Dennis Taylor)
“Ear Alignment” (Graham Miles)
“The Sniffer” (John Spencer)
“The Laughing Policeman” (Ray Reardon)

According to Wikipedia, Luca Brecel’s nickname is Snooker Brecel

Wikipedia has Xiao Guodong's nicknames as X-Factor, Longshot Xiao and Little Jelly. I like the middle one. Perhaps the last gets lost in translation.

Also has Zhou Yuelong's as Chengdu Chalktime.

He’d probably call him Steve Davis.

What a player he was! When Cliff was terrorising his opponents at Burroughes Hall in Soho Square in the 50’s, they actually called him the Whirlwind!

He was before his time. A great player with some personality. Not many like that these days.

He stole that off the 1980s South African player Robbie ‘amazing’ Grace

Not sure where he got it from :chin:

Always thought The Silver Fox was a bit rubbish. I was never struck by anything particularly cunning in David Taylor's game.

Do you even get the reference?.

He has Jamaican parents though, so not like he was raised with an acknowledgement of the importance of his Scottish roots

I could have sworn I heard a commentator refer to Ricky Walden as 'The Waldnut' once, but I can't find any trace of it. Either way, awful.
