Mark Williams won his 18th ranking title and moved back to the number one spot in these rankings as a result.

It was a good event for Joe Swail. It's not long since he was a top 16 player, but he has slipped way down the rankings in the last year or two. In Berlin he made it to the quarter-finals having beaten 3 top-16 players, Martin Gould, Mark Allen and Shaun Murphy.

Higgins and O'Sullivan both withdrew from the event. Higgins before his second round match due to an impending family bereavement.

Ronnie has barely played this season, hence the drop in ranking. That said, Higgins has missed half the season because of his ban and he's still top!
