2020 Gibraltar Open - Europa Point Sports Complex
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Gibraltar_Open

This was the first event to be severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of players and referees withdrew from participation and fans were not allowed into the arena after the first round.

Judd Trump won the event claiming his sixth ranking title of the season, a record number. He played out a high-quality final with Kyren Wilson. There were 4 century breaks, including a 144 from Trump, and two other 50+ breaks. It was a close match throughout and ended 4-3.

Amine Amiri produced the biggest shock of the competition by winning a match (previously he had not won a single frame). It should be noted though that the match win was against an amateur qualifier.

QFs
Kyren Wilson (7) 4-0 Thepchaiya Un-Nooh (21)
Mark Williams (10) 4-1 David Grace (88)
Xiao Guodong (33) 4-3 Jimmy Robertson (47)

2020 European Masters (2) - Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Euro ... 321_season)

The first of fifteen ranking events in the 2020-21 season was the European Masters.

Mark Selby won his 18th ranking title with excellent wins in the later rounds of the tournament against Stuart Bingham, Ding Junhui and Shaun Murphy, and then in a tough final with Martin Gould. Gould had impressively dispatched John Higgins, Yan Bingtao and Judd Trump earlier in the competition and despite going 4-0 down in the final, came back to lead 5-4. It was nip and tuck from there and Selby held firm in the decider, knocking in a 72-break.

Selby got byes in the first and third rounds. His first round opponent, Michael White, was forced to withdraw due to Covid, while Mark Davis withdrew after his cue was stolen from the boot of his car.

There were impressive debuts from 3 of the new players on tour, all reaching the last 16. Aaron Hill beat Ronnie O'Sullivan and Matthew Stevens en route. Peter Devlin took care of Mark Williams. And Pang Junxu beat Barry Hawkins.
