2010-2019:

Ronnie 78.98%
Mark Selby 71.52
Judd trump 70.25
John higgins 69.52
Ding junhui 68.6

then right behind Ding comes robertson with 68.42
then it's Allen with 67.93

very very evenly matched playing field so it seems.

I wonder how many ‘free’ percentage points Ronnie got over this decade from the flat draw giving him opponents in early rounds who were already beaten when they stepped out.

Of course, all top players get "free percentage points" by playing numpties in the early rounds of flaw draws.

Here are some more percentages to consider:

Record vs. the other top 5 players in 2010-2020:

Ronnie: 45 wins and 30 losses = 60% win percentage
Higgins: 44-44 = 50%
Judd: 48-51 ~ 48.4%
Selby: 40-46 ~ 46.5%
Ding: 28-44 ~ 38.9%

Actually is is. I clearly shows ROS is the GOAT. :win:

How do you show it?

Didn't you see his percentages ?!? :stupid:

Yes.

But you said; "I clearly shows Ronnie is the GOAT".

Oh, Ding. You poor baby.

I was more meaning as opposed to the old tiered system i.e. would a player be more or less likely to get knocked out in their first match of a tournament if they came in at the last 32 stage?

Wow! Brilliant stats! :hatoff:

What stands out the most for me is Ronnie leads those stats since he turned pro, which is just crazy. Shows how much longevity he has to remain at the top, which for me is way harder than "just" winning everything in one decade.

By doing it on several decades, he's had to contend with different generation of players, older, same age and younger, and therefore he also needed to adapt his game.

its actually tough to say in which of the two decades (00 , 10) Ronnie was a better player. Dont think its plain sailing anymore that it was the 00's.

You look at peak level and his 2013 WC,2014 Masters, 2014 and 2016 Welsh Open or 2017 English Open performances were for sure as good as his peak performances in the 00's.
His century break and 50+ break rate in the 10's was actually better than it was in the 00's which is a very important stat because his game relies on breakbuilding and outscoring opponents.

Title wise the 00's were a little bit better. Its 3 Worlds, 2 UK's, 3 Masters, 15 rankers vs 2 Worlds, 3 UK's, 3 Masters, 14 rankers.

Its a close call.
