72 hours to vote on match two of the quarter-finals, and what a hum-dinger it is.
Stephen Hendry 18-17 Jimmy White, 1994 World Championship (4)
VERSUS
Alex Higgins 16-15 Steve Davis, 1983 UK Championship (5)

Two fantastic matches here, worthy of being included in the top five matches of all time. Hendry-White for me, but it's a tight call in my opinion.

Hendry-White. World Championship just beats UK Championship and it had a dramatic decider where Whites missed black is probably the most famous miss in Snooker history.

I would argue it was the least popular miss in snooker history.

Most famous miss shouldn't be Davis black in 85 Final?
But White's had more impact I guess.

I went Higgins-Davis. I know it’ll lose but the story is better than Hendry-White and it wasn’t far off in terms of a match.

I think the Davis miss is more famous amongst casual observers, therefore more famous. But the White miss is second at least.

I think the 1985 result is most famous but in terms of singular misses, Jimmy’s is more famous. Simply because more people wanted him to pot it.

its a close call but White miss definitely has had a lot more impact. Davis won the World title three more times after his 1985 defeat. And six times in total.
Whites miss still causes nightmares among fans and it was a sad end which firmly verified his World final trauma. If he had potted the black and won the match it would have been the fairy tale ending, winning 18:17 against his nemesis.
Wasnt to be.

Wasn't it also White's birthday in in the 1994 Final?
It would have been the stuff of dreams had he won it. Turned out the stuff of nightmares.

White’s miss is the most memorable moment of his career.
Davis’s miss isn’t even the most memorable moment of the match.
