Davis - Higgins (Alex)
ROS - the other Higgins
ROS - Selby
I hesitate to name Hendry - White, but this one was too one-sided.

I voted Alex vs Davis, Hendry vs White, Ron vs Selby.
On topic here, and my mind is probably playing tricks on me, but help me out.
After the 94 final, Jimmy said of Hendry “He’s beginning to annoy me”. Did Ronnie use the exact same words after a final with Selby once? I’m pretty sure I’ve imagined it, but I’ve somehow got that memory stuck in my head.

I had the same top 3. One involved to two biggest names of Snooker most 'iconic' era, both of which had hugely contrasting personalities. The other was the 90's equivalent without the animosity but with more matches on the biggest stage. O'Sullivan and Selby is similar in that it's a crowd pleaser against someone perceived as a machine.

Great shame Reardon and Spencer never met in a world final. Maybe they would've done but for a bit a jiggery by the organisers when it was held in Australia in November 1970 and 1975.
