Re: All-time ranking list

I didn't realise Lee Walker wasn't ranked between 2008 and 2014. I suppose I must have just assumed I wasn't seeing him in tournaments because he was doing even worse than usual!

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall he had a medical issue which kept him out of the game during his late 20s early 30s. And isn't that what makes him a slow player now?

I might be completely making this up.

Looking at the timeline, it could also simply be that the idea of PTCs was just too much for him to bear. And who could blame him, really?

Walker has beaten most of the greats at some point.

Never played Ron though, bizarrely :chin:

I know he’s had sciatica but I don’t know if that’s the reason for the gap.

My favourite part of this thread is wondering when I’ll stop thinking, “Who the hell?”

It'll be at around 100-110 before the names become more regular top 16ers or more commonly known names.

"Jonathan Birch is arguably the world’s most influential social media star". I don't really keep up with these things but I suspect that might not be true.

I wonder how succesful Alfie Burden would have been as a footballer if his very short football career wasn't ended with injuries.

Wow. Mario Morra at 139? Higher than someone like Mark Johnston-Allen who got to 2 ranking finals!

Looks like my prediction of 125 for Cliff Wilson was a little conservative; he may even be in the top 100…
