I agree best of 19 for Jimmy is basically game over. Best of 11 for three rounds has a chance as someone else mentioned it’s a lottery. It will be very tiring for him. It’s annoying it’s best of 19 such a long format for low ranked qualifiers. They could have gone, q1 best of 9, q2 best of 11, q3 best of 15 and then final q best of 19 or even best of 17 before going into best of 19 for first round. Players seeded 17/32 have got it nicely. Having said that the third qualifying round is a good place to start to build momentum going into the final qualifer. How far away was Jimmy getting into the next qualifying round ?

2 years list is used.
He will be seeded and enter in Round 2 of qualifiers, so he will have to win 3 matches in order to join Top 16 at the Crucible.
He plays the winner of Marco Fu - tbd in R2, then Noppom Sangkam in R3.and Xiao Guodong, Zhang Anda or Rod Lawler in the last one.
This is indeed confirmed as Jimmy's route through to the crucible minus Rod Lawler so Jimmy's chances may have gone up (its Stan Moody now).

The snooker story that makes BBC news main page on the verge of WC is that Jimmy won’t be playing.
