I like that change. 4 rounds of qualies instead of 3, and the top 32 still have to win 2 matches.

Why's he suddenly changed his mind about that?
I was considering going to the qualifiers next year.

What?
If a player makes that in his career?
Surely only Ronnie will do that.

If there's 20 in a season, the pot is shared among the players

Really?
Doesn't that happen most seasons the days?

Don't forget about round 4 between the 32 winners of round 3. There will be 3 rounds of good quality to watch.

I like the 147 idea. It's giving a individual sport a unique collective aspect. They'll all be on the one team in a small way. It promotes sportsmanship, they'll all be pulling together and be delighted for each others achievements.

Me too, only way I’ll get to see Matthew or Ricky.

BUT... are they doing away with the rolling pot altogether? Is this scheme a replacement or run in conjunction? It's a bit sly by Barry if they fall short (a decent chance they would) and theres seventeen or eighteen 147s but they all get nothing for it.

We should coordinate that.
Unless it'd confuse you seeing me in a month that wasn't January.

If someone has already hit a 147 and is 5-0 up in a best of 11 he could smash the pack open to leave his opponent an easy maximum.

50k each is a very tidy sum, but is it realistic? How many get made in a typical season?

20 in a season is not going to happen unless every tournament is played with the BBC buckets

Maybe it's like Hearn's Home Nations £1million.
He thinks it won't happen.

Actually a crew of players could all gang together and try to get maxis. Like KrayzyEyez says above - Leave each other on. That would be fun!

20 in a season looks very unlikely to me considering 13 has been the record so far.
Its like the one million bonus when someone wins all four Home nation events. It aint gonna happen but there'll always be a lot of talk in the press and media and thats all Hearn wants.
