Hamza Akbar has been given an extra 2 years on tour (starting on 0 points) due to recognition of his visa problems.
He takes the place of an Americas nomination (as there hasn't been an All Americas competition and so therefore no amateur is disadvantaged.

So this means that Igor doesn't get a tour card? Did they ask him and he declined or why? Would be a shame now that it looked like he can finally play.

Was Igor's issue more funding than visa related issues though? Akbar's extra two years is more in line with Vafaei's discretionary extension.

Yeah but now there won't be a player on tour from the Americas. And Igor's a good player!

I agree.....I'd rather have wildcards given to players from developmental areas (as long as there is someone of ok standard like Igor) rather than to White/Doherty/Wattana etc.
I don't know if there was meant to be an All Americas championship this year whereby the winner would have gained entry to the tour or whether its not something they have every year due to interest/costs/organisation.
