With the 2024 championships maintained as scheduled for Glasgow the second of the two year delay can be attributed to logistics for now, but the news tends to reinforce the belief that there won't be any snooker ranking events in China this season.

I do have a few contacts in the region. Speaking with them in the last few days, they are expecting a slight change of course after the CCP assembly in November which would confirm the change of rules to allow Xi to rule longer than before.

We are already seeing noises coming out of HKG with minor changes. Not substantial, but it’s a start.
