Play safe or clear up?

Some saying in the comments that Bingham should have played safe with his next shot rather than making the match winning break or he should have requested a re rack, I’ve never seen this happen in a decider so not sure what the expected action should be, personally I don’t feel it’s bad sportsmanship, just a very unfortunate thing to happen to ding at such a crucial point in the match, it’s not like it’s your opponents fault though so he is obviously well within his rights to play the balls from where they are and win the frame and in this case the match.

I don't think he was in any way obliged to.

He wasn't in any way at fault for Ding's bad luck, so why should he play safe?

Players don't play safe when they get a fluke, so why when your opponent gets unlucky?

Bingham did nothing wrong. The state of his opponents equipment is not his responsibility, and the rules were correctly applied.

It's like Ding lost all hs good fortune, and Judd found it and kept it for himself.

I have been a personal friend of Ronnie, Ding and Carter for more than 30 years. I can confirm you are right.
