With the Grand Prix nearing its conclusion, this is a call for entries to the next Snooker Island tournament, The World Cup.
This will be a best of 5 seeded knockout competition.
First round losers will be entered into a separate competition, The Snooker Island National Cup, which will run concurrently with the remaining World Cup matches.
With your entry, please also indicate the geographical location you wish to represent. This could be any place that you feel an affinity with, for example your neighbourhood, your hometown, your nation, the region where you live, your planet etc.
Further details will be announced after the entries are in, but feel free to ask me questions now if this will help you decide whether to enter.
*With thanks to ACESInc and Pink Ball for discussing the format with me and inspiring me with this one (and the next).

Jimmy Robertson is unable to represent the South-East of England due to other commitments and so I will be standing in for him.
If for any reason I am unable to participate, I nominate Mark Davis as my substitute.

I suppose the fate is mine to suffer the burden of representing the entirety of the North American Continent. I shall do so stoutly and forthrightly. Should any of our friends of a Canuck persuasion (lookin' at you Sickpotter) wish to claim birthright to that minor, outlying suburb, I would be willing to cede such following standard negotiation and protocol.

Oh yes, it's madness during the summer. There are tourists (we call them emmets) everywhere. Every other house here now is a second or third home for some rich Londoner. The house prices are ridiculous. My parents can only afford to live there because the house was left to them by my grandfather. They are always saying they are going to sell up, buy somewhere cheaper, and have some spending money, but they never do.

268 miles. If I could pedal that far, I would deliver it.
You could also take advantage of my discount. Which, if I want some for myself or my parents, is 100% off.

Prefer reserve due to cue issues, but happy to make an even number.

Rules:
- Before you play a frame, nominate it as one of five contributing to this competition.
- Frames can come from more than one session (they don't have to be played on the same day)
- Note down your 5 biggest breaks from the five frames.
- It doesn't have to be one biggest break from each frame. It's the five biggest from all the breaks in the five frames.
- You have a maximum of 16 days to play each match (the deadline for your first match is December 11th).
- If you finish playing your frames first, send the scores to me by PM. If I or your opponent has announced in the group that his scores are in, you can post yours directly into this thread.
- The five highest break scores out of the 10 in total each win a frame (i.e. Match results will be best of five)
- Straight knockout
- First round losers play for the National Cup.

I'm fully behind the idea of the winner treating himself to a bottle of coke

I'm playing Saturday. Hopefully will get all 5 frames in, but it'll depend on my playing partner.
