It was called the Professional Championships before it changed to the World Championships.

In which year did only 2 of the 16 players seeded to reach The Crucible (i.e. ranked (17-32) win their solitary qualifying match and who were they?

This was at a time when players ranked 17-32 only had to win one match to qualify.

Incorrect. You cannot just guess the year anyway. You must also state who were the 2 players ranked between 17-32 who qualified. Otherwise it is just a guessing game!
