Shane Warne?

Bit of a stab in the dark and I don't even know if he captained Australia at any point. He has spent more time in the UK though than many Australian cricketers, so may have had contact with the most beautiful of all sports.

Not Smith or Warne.

Warne did captain the one day side for a few matches.

Correct answer is a bit further back in time, he played in Kerry Packer's breakaway World Series Cricket in the 70s.
