Name them both.

Cliff Thorburn & Willie Thorne?

That's 0/2.

Thorburn had a continuous run from 1977 to 1990, where he was defeated by Parrott in the quarter-finals. However, he had a terrible 89/90 season and fell out of the top 16, so didn't make it in 91. He had one final appearance in 94.

Thorne played every year 1977 to 1991 except for 79, where he lost in the final qualifying round 9-8 to John Virgo. Thorne had a continous run from 1980 to 1996.

1/2

Mountjoy was one of the two. He had a continuous run as a qualifier, and his appearances ran up to and including 1993, where he lost 13-6 to Jimmy White in the second round. That was his final appearance.

Charlton would be a very good guess, but he actually failed to qualify in one year - 1987, where he lost in the final qualifying round 10-4 to fellow Oz professional, Warren King. He continued to qualify between 1988 to 1992.

Correct.

Dennis had the longest run - from '77 to '94 inclusive, losing on his final appearance to Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Which player won more matches at the semi-finals and final respectively than on the group stage to win an early 2000's non-ranking tournament?

I'll accept that answer, as you probably meant that as a slight pun :) The answer is Marco Fu

Who did Marco lose to on his Crucible debut?

No. Mark Williams & Marco Fu have never played each other at the Crucible.
