The Greatest Hits Quiz!
The quiz begins with a greatest hits album of ten songs, each missing their artist. The aim is to correctly identify the band/artist/musician of each track. You can answer one at a time, or as many as you are confident in answering!
Once all have been answered, the person who successfully identified the most artists gets to set the next Greatest Hits album.
Correctly identifying the last remaining unanswered track of an album scores you two points for that track rather than one.
In the event of a tiebreaker, contestants must submit their answer to the question-setter via PM. This is to ensure any guess is truly impartial and nobody is put at a disadvantage by being the first contestant to make a guess.
Tiebreak answers must be submitted within 24 hours of the tiebreak question being posted.
And don’t forget... “One man’s obscure track is another man’s Greatest Hit!”
September 2023 Update
Following a review of the quiz, the decision has been made to grant power of attorney to Judders, along with amendments to the rules, as follows:
A new question must be posted within 4 days of a question being correctly answered.
If a player fails to post a new question within 4 days they will automatically be excluded from participating in the next question, and their contributions will not be counted. They are free to participate after the next question has been completed.
In the event of the question setting deadline not being met, Judders has the authority to either 1) Request that the previous question setter posts a new question, or 2) Choose who (of the regular quizzers) posts a new question.
Resolution of any disputes, and general housekeeping of the quiz will be handled by Judders.
The quiz rules and power of attorney are subject to periodic review.
Thanks.
