1. Master of Puppets- Metallica (Iranu)
2. Should I stay or should I go- The Clash (LDS)
3. Running up that hill- Kate Bush (Iranu)
4. Material Girl- Madonna (LDS)
5. Rock you like a hurricane- Scorpions (Krazeeeyezkilla) *
6. Cold as Ice- Foreigner (Csprince)
7. You spin me round- Dead or Alive (Csprince)
8. Rock Me Amadeus- Falco (Csprince)
9. Thriller- Michael Jackson (LDS)
10. Atmosphere- Joy Division (Happycamper)

So that means a tiebreaker between LDS and Csprince.

Tiebreak question:

Trivium did a cover of Master of Puppets. It was a bonus track off one of there albums. What year was it out in? Please pm me your answers. The closest answer wins.

I've received both answers.
LDS said 2010. Csprince said 2017.

The correct answer is 2005 so LDS is the closest and wins :hatoff:

So here's some singles that I listened to in my youth from the dreaded collection. As per usual ranging from the easy to near impossible, and hopefully listed in that order.

1. Only You

Released in 1983, this song entered the UK top 50 on 27th November and spent 9 weeks there, claiming the no.1 spot for 5 weeks in a row and snagging the coveted christmas no.1 spot.

2. Hong Kong Garden

Released in 1978, this song entered the UK top 50 on 20th August and spent 9 weeks there, peaking at no.7.

3. No Particular Place to Go

Released in 1964, this song entered the UK top 50 on 7th May and spent 12 weeks there, peaking at no.3.

4. Let's Dance

Released in 1962, this song entered the UK top 50 on 4th October and spent 18 weeks there, claiming the no.2 spot for 4 weeks in a row. Surely one of the all-time robbed No.1s.

5. Let There Be Drums

Released in 1961, this song first entered the UK top 50 on 14th December and spent 16 weeks there, claiming the 3 or 4 spot in a flip-flopping fashion for 5 weeks in a row.

6. My Brave Face

Released in 1989, this song first entered the UK top 50 on 14th May and spent 4 weeks there, peaking at no.18.

7. A Taste of Honey

Released in 1963, this song first entered the UK top 50 on 24th January and spent 9 weeks there, peaking at no.16 for two weeks in a row.

8. Pictures of Matchstick Men

Released in 1989, this song failed to enter the UK top 50, though their album did better.

9. For Her Light

Released in 1990, this song just missed out on the UK top 50 when it peaked at no.54 briefly.

10. Throwback

Released in 1989, this song did not chart in the UK top 50. Even though the performer was one with very prestigious credibility.

The race is on for the easy ones!

The Beatles did a version of a taste of honey. I can't remember if it was a single.

1. Only You - The Flying Pickets (Prince)
2. Hong Kong Garden - Siouxsie and The Banshees (Kraze)
3. No Particular Place to Go - Chuck Berry (Prince)
4. Let's Dance
5. Let There Be Drums
6. My Brave Face
7. A Taste of Honey
8. Pictures of Matchstick Men
9. For Her Light
10. Throwback

A Taste of Honey is one of those very heavily covered songs, particularly in that era, and while the Beatles did do that song and it appeared on a couple of their EPs, it's not that one I'm looking for. The artist we're looking for here was at the tale end of their popularity as The Beatles were starting, this being their last top 20 hit until 1976, their 6th since 1960. The artist's biggest hit was Stranger On The Shore from 1961 which got to no.2 in the UK and no.1 in the USA.

Without James Bentley here, those older but really famous in their time ones are more like impossibles it seems, so I'll move onto hangman.

Chris Mo _ _ _ z

S_ _ _ _ N_ _ _ o _

Mr. A_ _ _ _ B_ _ _

B_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

(For the purposes of decent hangman, the contents of Chris and the other already known letters do not count towards hangman, however, the o and z from Chris' surname do, so O and Z have already been guessed.
