Yep! Just two to go. I actually thought no. 8 would go first, quite surprised nobody has it yet.

Lol, I've been singing it for the last ten minutes. Just can't quite grasp the artist.

Not P Diddy. Not anyone like P Diddy.

That's the fellas! Just no. 2 to go, which I always knew would be left for last.

Haha, I can see where you're coming from, but no. Armand van Helden was a lot closer.

He is an acid house/electronica artist first active in the late 1980s. He shares a surname with a snooker player currently ranked in the top 32. The surname has 4 letters.

No. And you won't get it like that, because the name he records under is not a conventional forename.

If I reveal the answer now, it'll be a tiebreak between you and HappyCamper. So if he agrees, I'll do that and set the tiebreak question.

It's just that if HappyCamper hasn't looked at this thread since I posted clues, he hasn't had a chance to give an answer. He might know it without recourse to Hangman. I get that to a certain extent, you snooze you lose, but you don't just want to win by default, do you? Which is what would happen if only you are taking part in the Hangman.

I'll not wait forever, of course. Hangman at 5 o'clock if HappyCamper hasn't turned up by then.

OK, this is what we have:

_ _ _ _ / F O R D

None of F, O, R, D appear in the first word. Best of luck to both!

No S. In fact there's only two letters left, as one repeats (in positions 1 and 3). Plus, they're both fairly uncommon letters so this might go on for a while!
