Some album tracks can be massively famous even if the were never released as a single. Cast No Shadow being an obvious example.

The game would become quite shallow if we omitted what might be considered ‘obscure’ by differing opinions. As much as identifying tracks is fun, a large part of the idea of this quiz is to broaden horizons, and introduce music to other members that might not have heard it before. We are not going to be doing anything that might negate that benefit.

‘Greatest Hits’ is not to be taken literally. Hence there being no stipulation in the rules of what constitutes a great hit.

All tracks are welcome. Nothing is out of bounds. And if you don’t like the game, don’t play the game.

Thank you :-)

<ok>

Just so we’re clear, this is not an invitation to deliberately seek out tracks simply because they are obscure.

They should be tracks you already know, and hopefully love. It’s about sharing your passion for music, more than anything.

In this quiz Googling is absolutely forbidden, which goes without saying. But that also applies to selecting your tracks, in equal measure.

I hope you understand what I’m saying, and I’m not trying to cause any disagreement. Let’s carry on with that clarified :-)

Indeed. One of my fave Oasis tracks :-)

Probably wouldn’t crack my top 20!

Cast no shadow isn't in your top 20 Oasis tracks?! One of the best I think

Funnily enough, when I googled this song (to find out what it was), their discography claims this was indeed released as a non-charting single. Though it's somewhat confusing as it's not listed in their 'singles' list but rather in their 'other charted singles' list, though it doesn't stipulate what is 'different' about their 'other released singles' list.

In no particular order:

Slide Away
Liver Forever
Don’t Look Back In Anger
The Importance of Being Idle
Stand By Me
The Masterplan
Talk Tonight
Gas Panic
Some Might Say
Champagne Supernova
Little By Little
Lord Don’t Slow Me Down
Stay Young
Supersonic
Underneath The Sky
Shout It Out Loud
Married With Children
The Hindu Times
Fuckin’ in the Bushes
Going Nowhere

Off the top of my head these are 20 Oasis songs I prefer to Cast No Shadow.

And to be clear, I really like Cast No Shadow.

it is. the most recent on the list. the artist has also had one of the biggest, if somewhat controversial, hits of this year.

clue for 2. this was a much bigger hit across the pond the in the singer's native united kingdom. the singer in question is named after a legendary jazz singer.
