Was this the Scottish Open final in 2016? Marco Fu clinched his 3rd ranking title and Higgins would have been fan favourite as he was playing in Scotland but I can't remember if the scores was 9-5 or 9-6

Major final of an invitational event. Both players met in the final of this tournament 5 years prior and the strong favourite won. This occasion the player who wasn't deemed as the favourite gets revenge and clinches the title.

Maybe the Liverpool Victoria Challenge or the Premier League... but haven't a clue about the years. I'll have to think more about it.

Then it must be the Champion of Champions.
Allen v Robbo this season? Robbo did win it in 2015 I believe.

This was the last ever professional match played at one of Snooker's most iconic venues, the final contested between two players of the same country.

Nope, one is English, the other is Scottish on that one you mentioned.
Both are Scottish the one I'm looking for.

Yes Iranu, last ever match at Goffs, one of Snooker's most iconic venues. But what year and what players were involved?

Is Goffs The Irish Masters? I can't think of too many. Was it Ronnie vs Hendry in Irish Masters 2003? Don't even know if they met in a Irish Masters final to be honest lol

It's Goffs The Irish Masters correct.
Earlier than 2003, and Hendry was involved.
