Alex Higgins is correct. Not Swail. It was another 80’s star.

That’s the one. Knowles led 6-3 after the first session but the Hurricane secured his return to the Crucible for the first time since 1990 with a 10-9 win.

Semi final of a major Invitational event between 2 big players.
One of the players who maybe went into this match as slight slight underdog was 5-3 up, it was then 5-5, the opponent needed 2 snookers in the deciding frame with the black ball over the pocket. He managed to get the snookers and stole the frame to win 6-5 and went on to win the final very convincingly.

I was there. Alex Higgins' arm was bleeding and blood was on the table. He had fallen over a wall between sessions. He beat Knowles 10-9. Tony was so annoyed he denied me an offer of a drink afterwards!
