Now that one is obscure! At least for me and my era. No idea. That even more obscure than knowing the name of Walter the Softy's friends!

You know the old saying:
“Whatever you do... don’t ask a bucking question when it’s not your turn, you hammer.”
Anyway, over to LDS.

Keeping on the international theme, which Agatha Christie novel features a James Bond-like adventure where our heroine experiences many misadventures before finally arriving at a mastermind's mountain lair, complete with many mad scientists and more state-of-the-art laboratories than Astra Zeneca?

No, not one of Agatha's, but she would have loved Lara, being an archaeologist herself!

There's only one Harley Quinn one and it's a book of short story collections and so not a novel. Good guess though, glad now I didn't go with obscure Agatha protagonists!

Now that's a great novel, arguably her best, but, no, that one takes place almost entirely in mansion on a remote island and not a laboratory in sight.

Brilliant guess, you definitely know your Agatha, but, no, not that one. In that one the heroine is kidnapped while travelling in the middle east and while it has a very bondesque escape scene, there are no mad scientists or mastermind mountain-top mega-lairs.

You're missus is spot-on!
An awesome read btw, and easily the best of her thrillers.

She's more into those than me, I'm more into Grisham and Clancy stuff. Anyway, my missus' question (she used to work for a fire extinguisher company and for some reason I always remember this one after she told me 20+ years ago):
What does AFFF stand for?

I reckon it’s something to do with the foam extinguishers, and what flammable materials they can be used on. Hmmm.
