No, but the manager who signed Merson for his loan club departed midway through his loan spell to take up the Assistant Manager’s post - at Millwall.
So there was a link of sorts

No, he did not ply his trade at Selhurst Park (where Charlton were groundsharing at the time)

Friendly reminder the never ending quiz needs answering, just looking for 3 more guesses and whoever is closest gets the win.

No, though Paul - born in Northolt - was a Chelsea fan as a lad.
Little bit of trivia there.

Yes, indeed, it was the latest entry to join the Greed League Money List.
Interestingly Merse, then an out-and-out striker failed to score in 9 appearances (2 as sub) for third division Brentford, but hit 3 goals in only 5 starts for Arsenal in the first division after returning to Highbury at the back-end of the season.

One was 'the Griffin'
One was 'the Princess...' something (Victoria, maybe?)
One was 'the Royal Oak', although it change its name a few years back to something else, I don't remember what
The other had a generic dull name 'the New Inn' I think it was.
