Correct! Steely Dan were indeed founded in New York. They got the name Steely Dan from a dildo mentioned in a book by Burroughs..

Adrian Edmondson did just do a radio play called 'Waiting for Waiting for Godot'. It's on BBC sounds, it was pretty good.
