01) single released in 1969 by an american singer. supposedly a tribute to legendary session musician hal blaine. one of the most recorded drummers in history, and who also played on records for her father.

03) non album single released in 1985 by a british singer-songwriter. in her own words, "the single has no hidden depths, it's just about a bloke out in australia enjoying himself." it was not as commercially successful as her previous hit a new england

04) song by an american singer songwriter, taken from his third studio album which shares its name with a book by søren kierkegaard. the song concerns the writer's struggles with addiction, and featured on the soundtrack of the film good will hunting released in the same year, 1997.

06) american chamber pop group. the song features on their seminal concept triple album of 69 love songs, released in 1999. recently the band have been touring the record playing it in its entirety over two nights

08) american folk rock group. the song was a b-side to the band's second single all i really want to do released in 1965 and was written by the band's original rhythm guitarist gene clark about an annoying girlfriend.

09) american psych rock band. the first single released by the band in 1966, which also feature on their self titled debut album. a song about frustration and longing, it is noted for the raw and snarling vocals by the band's singer sky saxon.
