winner of Carter v Murphy later today will reach the play offs however if Robertson beats Williams and Carter thumps Murphy 3-0 then Robertson will be in group 3 and Murphy out of the contest anything else and Robbo joins Cope out of it.

Murphy is through. It's based on points first, frames won next and in case of tie who won the match between the two players.

Also on another note, the ideal scenario for Hearn has to be Ronnie winning the Championship League outright would mean that killing 2 birds with 1 stone and freeing up another wildcard to maximise the best potential Premier League line up, as previous CL winners are unlikely to have made the PL line up otherwise.

If players are level on the same amount of points then it will be

most frames won
then least frames lost that determine the positions.
If that is still the same then the result of the match between the players in question will determine the rankings.
