selby tends to deliver excellent form in round 1 up to quarters and is done in by semi's

dotty will do him again this year

i agree with what you say he does tend to play well early and fizzle out but in china he did not fizzle out just Trump played well to beat him.

It has been interesting to see how he's brought John Higgins down to his level almost. You can see Higgins is really not enjoying this, there's never been any fluency in his performance today. I have found it a bit boring, particularly the first session as it's been like delaying the inevitable all the way through, but almost sadistically interesting at times.
