maguire will never get a better chance to go 6-2 that pink from higgins was more frustration from the way the last shot panned out than the way maguire been frustrating him unlucky for the red to block the black in a way i dont blame higgins for taking the pink on because the safety wasnt that easy as there were two reds near the baulk line
chance for maguire but a few kicks then he finally misses and shows his frustration
likely to be 5-3

5-3 looking a certainty and you wonder with maguires temperament how it will effect him tonight
higgins always hangs in there even with a two frame deficit you have to say this match is 50 50

Really high quality stuff. We all knew Maguire had it in him, just hasn't shown it for about 5 years

Higgins needs to come out the blocks firing tonight. He was so poor this afternoon so 5-3 feels like a result so far.

Fair play to Maguire, very fine opening session performance. But who honestly believes Higgins isn't going to catch him?

I'd make it about 70/30 Mags at the moment tbh, he's just playing a level above Higgo and 4 frames are a lot easier to win than 6 so if he can share the first 4, he's almost certain to win it.
