I couldn't have asked for a better lineup really. Only Higginson is missing from my favourites. Would love a Dott v Swail final.

Is it just me or does this not even feel like a proper ranker?
only 4 days
the multiple tables set up
No Robbo, Ronnie or Higgins beyond the first round
if the truth be told im finding this more like a glorifed EPTC

players have never made a tournament for me i like the fact we get different players at the business end makes it more exciting.

4 quarters
2 semis
1 final

I haven't got to see much of it the last couple of days. Seen the Robertson match, and two frames of Williams. Personally, I'd rather see the tournament be a bit longer, to give it that ranking event feel.
Other then that, I look the look of it. It can't be helped who gets knocked out, or can't be fussed to turn up. I like the look of the venue to. Two or three days longer, and it'd be perfect.

a proper ranking event should be a week minimum
this feels more like a ptc due to its length

I think the tournament would have been better if there was more coverage of the other tables especially when the main match finishes.

The length is the only complaint.
"I must say, I'm more psyched for this then I was for the World Open, Power Snooker or the Shoot Out. What are other people's thoughts?"

so witz am i sensing disaproval in Barry Hearn

no not an ounce of dissaproval from me to Mr.Hearn. Unlike others

i believed in Hearns vision from the start
Ive no doubt this years German Masters is a tester for next season one which will be a full week long event, having seen the great crowds and the success its been in Germany.
But to go back to the PTCs which many critics slated for giving 2,000 points to the winner which was excessive, id have to say that if thats the case, then 5,000 points to the winner here is definetly too much, to think the UK winner only gets 3,000 points m0re.

ive enjoyed it yes we not seing many matches but ffs that was the case at the UK.
would it be better without the tournament and instead of watching 9 live matches we see nothing like last season

This could snake hiss over the World Open. The World Open is a week of short matches, played before a small, rather bored crowd. Have you seen how many Germans are in the house? We could really make this work...
And the layout gives it a unique look.
